The nautical numbers in Sardinia in 2024

The nautical one is the fifth more important field of the Sardinia in terms of turnover, generating beyond 400 million euros and employing 2,250 direct workers. This analysis, based on the 2022 balance sheets of companies in the sector, was conducted by Cipnes Gallura and UniOlbia.

The nautical, fundamental component of the Blue Economy, has therefore an important impact on the Sardinian economy. The sector stands out both for the production and refit of boats and yachts, and as a luxury destination for superyachts. The Costa Smeralda, in particular, is recognized as one of the main world destinations for this segment.

In order to satisfy the requests of the nautical enterprises of Olbia, that it is the main district, is born the course of degree in naval Engineering, offered from the University of Cagliari with the support of UniOlbia beginning from the Academic year 2024/2025.
